Home Analyzer
By answering a short series of questions, the NSTAR Home Analyzer (also available in Spanish) can compare your home's energy use to similar homes and get detailed recommendations on steps you can take to lower your home's energy use - not only helping the environment but also your budget. The Home Analyzer also provides information that will help you make your home more energy efficient, comfortable and safe.

Energy Savings Calculators
Ever wonder how much you can save by installing a new, energy efficient appliance? NSTAR's Energy Savings Calculators allow you to focus on the energy use of a specific appliance in your home and gives you information on how to operate them more efficiently. Information is also available about the savings you could gain by installing a new energy efficient appliance. There are calculators available for your refrigerator, washer, dryer, water heater, heating or cooling system, thermostat, lighting and room air conditioner.

ENERGYsmart Library and University
The ENERGYsmart Library is a vast online resource that will help you learn more about the energy used in your home. From electric heating to solar water heating, the library includes information on a number of different energy issues and technologies, and also includes a glossary of common energy terms. 

The ENERGYsmart University contains a variety of courses, reference materials, labs and other information divided into seven "buildings" to help you learn about energy and energy-related issues.

ENERGY STAR: Your Partner In Energy Efficiency
NSTAR is proud to be a partner with ENERGY STAR, a collaboration between the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. This collaboration focuses on teaching consumers about the benefits of energy efficient home appliances and other home products.

The ENERGY STAR label has been created to help consumers quickly and easily identify home appliances and other products that save energy. Look for the label when you are remodeling or replacing equipment in your home.

ENERGY STAR Labeled Lighting
ENERGY STAR labeled light bulbs and fixtures meet high standards for energy efficiency without sacrificing performance or design. Energy-efficient bulbs use up to 75 percent less energy and last as much as 10 times longer than other bulbs. So you'll save on energy and replacement costs. And ENERGY STAR labeled light fixtures use 50 to 75 percent less energy than conventional fixtures while providing the same amount of light. They're available in a variety of styles to fit your home decor, including table lamps, torchieres, ceiling/wall mounted lighting and more.

Cool Smart ENERGY STAR Central Air Conditioning Program
Did you know ENERGY STAR-labeled central air conditioning units, properly installed, can save you up to 20 percent on your cooling costs? To help with the purchase of a new ENERGY STAR central air conditioner, NSTAR is offering a mail-in rebate of up to $500 for the purchase and installation of high efficiency central air conditioning units and air source heat pumps that meet or exceed the ENERGY STAR minimum standard Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating (SEER) of 14, Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) of 11.5, and a Heating Seasonal Performance Factor (HSPF) of 8.2 (for heat pumps only). We encourage you to work with one of our trained, participating contractors to ensure your new unit is properly installed. Residential Multi-Family Assessment Program
Are you a residential customer living in a multi-family facility, condominium or a complex with five or more dwelling units? If so, you may be eligible to participate in the Multi-Family Assessment Program. This program provides services to the entire complex through coordination with the owner, facility manager, or condominium association. Your facility may qualify for a comprehensive energy analysis, lighting upgrades, insulation, air sealing and other energy saving measures. Installation of some of the energy efficiency measures requires a co-payment.

ENERGY STAR Homes: New Construction Program
Building a new home? Consider building an ENERGY STAR home. They're certified to be up to 30 percent more efficient than other homes and NSTAR provides financial assistance and expertise for builders to construct new homes to ENERGY STAR specifications.

MassSAVE (Espaņol)
Energy efficiency specialists will answer your energy-saving questions and determine your eligibility for a Home Energy Assessment. The assessment includes an analysis of your home's energy use, advice for saving energy and rebate offers on recommended energy improvements. Currently 0 to 3 percent financing is available for qualified customers from the HEAT Loan program so please call 800-632-8300 or visit www.masssave.com for more information.

Energy Efficiency Program for Lower Income Customers
If you currently receive NSTAR's Discount Rate, you may be eligible for a free home energy consultation, which may include the installation of conservation measures and refrigerator metering. Your rate code and usage information appears on your NSTAR bill. If you qualify and would like more information, please contact your local Community Action or Heating Assistance Program. Information about this program and others is also available through Energy Bucks.
