Home Analyzer
Learn about your home's energy use room by room with
NSTAR's Home Analyzer.
This interactive online tool lets you get quick estimates on
your homes energy use, while providing great tips on ways
you can
save energy in each room of your house. The Home Analyzer also can
calculate your carbon footprint, show how much you can save with a
programmable thermostat and much more.
Mass Save
Energy efficiency specialists will answer your energy-saving questions and determine your eligibility for a Home Energy Assessment. The assessment includes an analysis of your home's energy use, advice for saving energy and rebate offers on recommended energy improvements. Up to $1,000 in rebates for qualifying high efficiency heating systems and a $300 rebate available on indirect and qualifying on-demand hot water heaters.

High-Efficiency Heating System Rebates
NSTAR Gas offers a number of mail-in rebates for customers who purchase and install high efficiency natural gas heating equipment up to 300,000 BTUs.
- $1,600 rebate for a Combined High-Efficiency Boiler and Water Heating Unit with an AFUE rating greater or equal to 90 percent and domestic hot water storage of 2 gallons or less.
- $1,000 rebate for a Combined High-Efficiency Boiler and Water Heating Unit with an AFUE rating greater or equal to 85 percent and domestic hot water storage of 2 gallons or less.
- $1,000 rebate for a Natural Gas Hot Water Boiler with an AFUE Rating greater or equal to 90 percent.
- $650 rebate for a Natural Gas Warm Air Furnace with Electronic Commutated Motor (ECM) and an AFUE Rating greater or equal to 94 percent.
- $500 rebate for a Natural Gas Hot Water Boiler with an AFUE Rating greater or equal to 85 percent.
- $500 rebate for a Natural Gas Warm Air Furnace with Electronic Commutated Motor (ECM) and an AFUE Rating greater or equal to 92 percent.
- $400 rebate for a Natural Gas Warm Air Furnace with an AFUE Rating greater or equal to 92 percent.
- $200 rebate for a Natural Gas Steam Boiler with and AFUE Rating greater or equal to 82 percent.
- $200 rebate for After Market Boiler Reset Controls connected to a natural gas boiler.

High-Efficiency Natural Gas Water Heater Rebate Program
NSTAR offers rebates on high-efficiency natural gas water heaters.
- $700 rebate for an on-demand water heater with an Energy Factor greater or equal to .82 with electronic ignition.
- $500 rebate for a high-efficiency indirect fired water heater connected to a natural gas heating system.
- $500 rebate for a Condensing Natural Gas Water Heater with a thermal efficiency of 95 percent or greater.
- $50 rebate for an ENERGY STAR-rated storage water heater with an Energy Factor greater or equal to .62.

Programmable Clock Thermostat Rebate
Maximize your energy savings without sacrificing comfort by
installing an ENERGY STAR or seven day programmable clock thermostat. You can
save up to 15 percent a year on your heating bill and receive up to
$25 with NSTAR's programmable clock thermostat rebate(s). Rebates
are valid for the purchase of up to two ENERGY STAR labeled
or seven day programmable thermostats. For more information and a rebate

Energy Efficiency Program for Lower Income Customers
If you currently receive NSTAR's Discount Rate, you may be
eligible for a free home energy consultation, which may include the
installation of conservation measures and refrigerator metering.
Your rate code and usage information appears on your NSTAR bill. If
you qualify and would like more information, please contact your
local Community Action, Heating Assistance Program or
Mass Save's web site. Information
about this program and others is also available through

Residential Multi-Family Assessment Program
Are you a residential customer living in a multi-family facility, condominium or a complex
with five or more dwelling units? If so, you may be eligible to participate in the Multi-Family Assessment
Program. This program provides services to the entire complex through
coordination with the owner, facility manager, or condominium association. Your
facility may qualify for a comprehensive energy analysis, insulation, air sealing and other energy saving measures. Installation of some
of the energy efficiency measures requires a co-payment.

NSTAR offers technical expertise and a variety of financial incentives to builders when they construct new homes according to ENERGY STAR specifications or homes that exceed local residential energy code standards. Weatherization Rebate
(Insulation)
Thinking about adding wall insulation, or attic insulation to your home? If so, you might be eligible for rebates covering 75 percent of improvements up to $2,000 from NSTAR for such home upgrades. Call 800-266-3517 for more information.
