NSTAR is pleased to announce the appointment of Philip Lembo as Vice President and Treasurer. Lembo is currently Assistant Treasurer of Investor Relations and Corporate Finance at NSTAR and, among his other duties, is responsible for managing the company’s communications and relationships with shareholders, credit rating agencies, banks and other financial institutions.

In his new role Lembo will oversee an expanded number of treasury functions including the areas of corporate finance & cash management, investor relations, real estate and facilities management, property tax and risk management.

“Phil has a proven talent for developing and implementing effective financial programs and practices,” said Thomas J. May, NSTAR Chairman, President and CEO. “The company’s financial well-being plays a vital role in ensuring our ability to deliver great service to our customers and I’m confident Phil’s increased leadership role will enable us to continue our successful track record.”

Since joining NSTAR in 1983, Lembo has served in a number of financial roles in the budgeting and audit areas, including serving as the company’s Audit Director. He holds an undergraduate degree in business from Salem State College and a master’s of business administration from Boston University. Lembo and his family reside in Melrose, Mass.

The company transmits and delivers electricity and natural gas to 1.4 million customers in Eastern and Central Massachusetts, including more than one million electric customers in 81 communities and 300,000 gas customers in 51 communities.
